From parades and processions to publicity stunts, from entertaining families to serious historical lecturing, members tackle each with the group's ethos of enthusiasm and dedication.

The group can provide several basic features that can be arranged to suit your show or event. The main element of a days display is the arena spectacle. This may be a battle re-enactment you regularly host, or otherwise may wish to consider (Destrier has the contacts to bring in more participants on foot), where the man-at-arms on horseback can be a powerful enhancement of the audience's enjoyment of such a display. Destrier can also provide either or both of it’s arena performances- the Hunting Games or Tournament performances (or a blend of both) demonstrating competitive use of the lance, sword and other weapons The event can be billed in the context of a "local" tournament, with characters given identities for the audience to associate with closer.

Through the day the members and horses remain part of the public's day out even whilst relaxing off-duty, the members displaying medieval horse care and providing informative answers medieval life and allowing people - particularly children - to interact with a popular piece of heritage first hand. Due to Destrier's unique origins as a display team, it is the only one of it's kind in the U.K. that can boast such a commitment to portraying the medieval horseman in this detail.

Destrier can provide it's day / weekend long display as part of a country fair or historical event, at a local park, castle or stately home.

Destrier is happy to discuss private corporate events or big public events. Destrier can be one of numerous diverse attractions or part of a larger medieval event. Alternatively your event may have a defined task for us- you may have a St. George's day parade that needs a centrepiece!

Whatever your event, Destrier's authenticity is a set feature. Destrier comes with it’s own public liability insurance for up to £5 million. Nevertheless, Safety and animal welfare feature strongly in our practises. Destrier’s impeccable safety record is guaranteed by using highly trained and experienced animals.
